Privacy Policy

ManaDraw (manadraw.io) is a free browser party game run by Gold Strategics in Florida, USA. This page explains what the game collects, why, and how long it keeps it. The short version: there are no accounts, no passwords, no payments, no ads, and no analytics. The game only handles what it needs to run a round of drawing with your friends, and it throws that away a few hours later.
Who runs ManaDraw
ManaDraw is owned and operated by Gold Strategics, based in Florida, USA. You can reach us at aaron@goldstrategics.com for any question about this policy or your data.
What you give the game
To play, you type a display name and pick a cartoon wizard avatar. That is all we ask for.
- Your display name can be up to 16 characters and is checked against a word filter. Use a nickname. You never need to enter your real name, email, or anything else that identifies you.
- Your avatar is one of the built-in wizard characters. It is a choice, not an upload.
The game never asks for an email address, a password, a phone number, or payment details.
What happens during a game
While a game is running, the following is sent to the ManaDraw server so the other players in your lobby can see it:
- the 4-letter lobby code
- display names and avatar choices for everyone in the lobby
- the drawings each player submits, saved as JPEG images
- votes and scores
This is stored temporarily on the server for the sole purpose of running the game. Drawings are only visible to players who have the lobby code. There is no public gallery and no search.
Game files are deleted automatically within about 6 hours of the game ending. We do not keep drawings, names, or scores after that, and we do not build any history of what you drew or how you voted.
Cookies and local storage
The game itself does not set any cookies. There are no analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
ManaDraw does store one random player ID in your browser's localStorage. This ID lets you rejoin the same game if you refresh the page or your connection drops. It is a random string, not tied to your identity, and it stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data for manadraw.io in your browser settings. Doing so will drop you from any game in progress.
Sound, microphone, and camera
The game plays sound effects at low volume. It does not request access to your microphone or camera, and it has no way to record you.
Server logs
ManaDraw is hosted on a web host in the United States (Bluehost). Like nearly every website, the host keeps standard server access logs. These include the IP address of each request, the browser user agent string, and timestamps. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and are handled under the host's own retention practices. We do not combine them with game data or use them to identify players.
Fonts loaded from Google
The game uses the "Nunito" typeface, and the font stylesheet is loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests that file from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and the standard information a browser sends with any request. Google's handling of that request is covered by Google's privacy policy. No other third-party resources are loaded; for example, the wand cursor image is hosted on our own server.
Children
ManaDraw is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, do not type a display name that identifies you; pick a made-up name. Because the game does not collect contact details and deletes game data within about 6 hours, there is normally nothing left to remove. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided identifying information and wants it deleted, email aaron@goldstrategics.com with the lobby code and approximate time, and we will act on it.
How we share data
We do not sell, rent, or share player data with anyone. The only parties that receive anything are the hosting provider (which runs the server and keeps the access logs described above) and Google (which serves the font file). We would disclose information if required by law, but given what the game stores, there is very little to disclose.
Security
Traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted with HTTPS. Game data is stored only for the life of the game plus a short cleanup window. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not draw or type anything you would not want another player in your lobby to see.
Your choices
- Use a nickname instead of your real name.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove the stored player ID.
- Email us to ask about or request deletion of anything you think we still hold.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
